Enter the Draw for: ARTIST OF THE MONTH
Good News!!!
All participants of this years swap will have his/her name entered in the draw for a chance to be our group's featured artist for a month. Now who of us creative minds wouldn't want to see our name and work up in lights?. . .lol. Well, maybe not 'up in lights' but, you get my drift. Come on group members! Help me make this a fun event.
I will send out an invitation when the time comes to one group member to make the ...draw from all our names (except mine) on September 26, 2010.
So if want the chance to gain a little more exposure to your work and to take part in a little group fun, get swapping.
Remember: "Art is not what you see, but what you make others see."
Salutations, everyone!

Self-taught Starving Artist and Loving it! - 2010 ART SWAP
As you may or may not already know, art swaps are calls to artists to produce a work of art to exchange with other artists based on the specific criteria of the swap.
JOIN IN THIS ART SWAP AND HAVE FUN CREATING AND IMPROVING YOUR TECHNIQUES!
I've participated in art exchanges a few times and, I must admit they can be quite fun. Aside from all the fun there are all the other fringe benefits:
• To connect with other artists in your community and internationally.
• Exposure of your works and unique style
• A way for you to share with and collect from your peers.
• A way for us to give to other and collect beautiful art at the same time.
I'm sure you can foresee other benefits.
THE RULES
Create a work of art no larger than 8 x 10 inches depicting your interpretation of any one of the following themes:
1. Flowers
2. Landscape
3. Seascape
4. An Idiom or cliché i.e. caught between a rock and a hard place, come hell or high water, etc.)
5. Self-portrait
6. A subject of your choice (just let me know ahead what it is)
I will let you know via e-mail who will be exchanging with whom once all submissions are in. Then, ship your piece to the name and address* of the artist that I will send you.
If your medium is 3-dimensional, keep the size under 12 inches. Photographers, please send only high quality signed photos.
***Final day to sign up is AUGUST 15, 2010***
***All swaps must be shipped and post marked to the receiver by SEPTEMBER 13, 2010.***
*Addresses will be kept private and given ONLY to the artist sending you a package.
There you have it! Don’t hesitate to use our group’s discussion board if you have any questions.
COME ON SELF-TAUGHT STARVING ARTIST AND LOVING IT!!! Jump in with me!
Even if you’re not self-taught or starving. If we all participate, this could make for a great swap involving several creative minds from various parts of the globe. I’m so pumped to see what piece of art I will receive. How about you!?

I now do Photo Restoration!
Well fans, you can now add "photo restoration" as one of my many talents. . .well, not really but I love taking old photos and making them look new again.
If you are interested in having any of your old photos brought back to life, send me a message to let me know how can help.
I will send you a quote via e-mail outlining the possible cost. I'm cheap so you don't need to mortgage the house or anything. In the meantime, take a look at a couple photos I've played with. One old, one not so old.

A new flash website
So after many hours I've finally managed to create a new flash website. I'm trying my hand at using the 'Flash' method for the first time. It wasn't all that difficult as the free software, provided by Wix, made the whole process less tedious. Check it out! I'd love to hear how you think I did. If you have any comments on how I might improve the sight, I would love to hear those too. Thanx y'all for your continued support.
